TTLG Design uses printers that offer paper products that are recycled from certified sustainable production systems such as the Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) and the Forest Stewardship Council Certification (FSC).

Recycled paper products contain recovered fibers, which include pre or post consumer sources, or both. As a result, there are significant environmental advantages to producing recycled paper over non-recycled. The advantages create an eco-friendly footprint, which consists of a reduced impact on forest resources, reduced air and water pollution, reduced water and energy consumption and the reduction of solid waste.

Our printers also incorporate the use of vegetable-based soy inks and safe water-based aqueous coatings and solvents in their production which emit very low traces of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). VOCs are the fumes emitted into the air from inks, solvents and cleaners as they are used or while they dry. Our printer’s VOC levels are one of the lowest in the world and much lower than the required amounts set by the AQMD.

We can also place and print the FSC or the appropriate environmental logo on your products that meet the FSC standards. Products printed with this logo are a good indicator of environmental stewardship and make a stronger positive statement about your company or business. TTLG offers dozens of stocks and papers made from 30-100% post-consumer recycled fiber.

PEFC (Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification)

The PEFC Council is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organization, founded in 1999 which promotes sustainably managed forests through independent third party certification. The PEFC provides an assurance mechanism to purchasers of wood and paper products that they are promoting the sustainable management of forests. PEFC is a global umbrella organization for the assessment of and mutual recognition of national forest certification schemes developed in a multi-stakeholder process. These national schemes build upon the inter-governmental processes for the promotion of sustainable forest management, a series of on-going mechanisms supported by 149 governments in the world covering 85% of the world's forest area. PEFC has in its membership 35 independent national forest certification systems of which 25 to date have been through a rigorous assessment process involving public consultation and the use of independent assessors to provide the assessments on which mutual recognition decisions are taken by the membership. These 25 systems account for more than 200 million hectares of certified forests producing millions of ton of certified timber to the market place making PEFC the world's largest certification system. The other national members’ schemes are at various stages of development and are working towards mutual recognition under the PEFC processes.

FSC (Forest Stewardship Council Certification)

FSC is an independent, non-governmental, not-for-profit organization established to promote the responsible management of the world’s forests. Established in 1993 as a response to concerns over global deforestation, FSC is widely regarded as one of the most important initiatives of the last decade to promote responsible forest management worldwide. FSC is a certification system that provides internationally recognized standard-setting, trademark assurance and accreditation services to companies, organizations, and communities interested in responsible forestry.The FSC label provides a credible link between responsible production and consumption of forest products, enabling consumers and businesses to make purchasing decisions that benefit people and the environment as well as providing ongoing business value. FSC is nationally represented in more than 50 countries around the world.
